Tutors help YATC students meet their challenges
This school year, YATC students have been fortunate to benefit from the expertise of our volunteer tutors once again. After pausing the tutoring program in 2020, these volunteers have returned to work one on one with students to help them with academic areas in which they are struggling. Weekly visits allow the students and the tutors to develop a relationship while they partner to expand the student’s comprehension and confidence in subjects such as math and English, which are critical pieces of the GED exam many students hope to take during their time at YATC or soon after. We are so grateful for the time, commitment and caring that our volunteer tutors offer our students. Thank you to each and every one of you!
If you would like to get involved with the tutoring program in the future, please contact me.
