A message from the Executive Director March 2023

Dear Friends of YATC:

Here at YATC we are up and running toward the end of the school year. The newness of 2023 is already wearing off. I would guess it might be for you, too. Life is busy and there are so many things that need our attention. This makes it that much more important for me to express our deep gratitude to you for supporting YATC’s students and graduates.

2022 was another interesting year for our program. We had to settle into the way things are nowadays – such as being a bit more aware of illnesses, consciously spacing out our students and reassessing field trip opportunities. But we also needed to come back together in both old and new ways. Our Founder Jim Moran was a big fan of innovation, and we really relied on that characteristic last year to stay on track!

One of the best and most exciting ways we gathered last year was at the first-ever YATC Classic. Although it had many of the ingredients of the beloved Jim Moran Classic, it offered a new spin and we are so proud that it was a great success! I’ve heard from so many of you how much you enjoyed the weekend activities. For me personally, I enjoyed getting together with our many supporters and donors, being able to shake hands, hug one another and see the smiles and the tears in person was fantastic!  There was also a fair amount of apprehension as to whether this new event would be welcomed and by its success that was put to rest. I can’t thank you all enough!

Thank you for the time, financial support and attention that you continue to give YATC. You are changing lives each and every day. I genuinely believe that our donors, Board of Directors, volunteers and staff are the best around and certainly the reason YATC is so successful.

From everyone at YATC, we wish you much happiness and good health in the coming year.

Sincerely,
